The Catfish Farmers of Arkansas Catfish Display was publicly viewed for the
first time at the past Mid-Year meeting at Alice Sidney Farms. We had many
favorable comments about how attractive it is and the pictorial story. Many
thanks to the follow ing people who had a part in revising the display: Billie
Seamans, the photographer; Dr. Carole Engle, David Heikes, Dr. Nathan Stone,
Bauer Duke, Steeve Pomerleau, Fred Frazer, and Debbie Archer of UAPB for
technical assistance, photography, and art work; Jeff Baxter and Chuck Sloan for
permitting us to take photos at their catfish farms; Bill McCollum of Baxter
Land Company for his assistance so that photographs could be taken; SEACAT for
photos inside their processing plant; Bill Troutt, Carl Jeffers, Jeff Baxter,
and Randy Evans for their suggestions. Also, thanks to the Arkansas Catfish
Promotion Board for financing the project.
